I love holiday! and I love blogging about it so that I can also read all my past trips like walking through a memory lane.
Our flight to Bali is at 5AM from Singapore.. Omg so long have I never fly budget (Jetstar) already.. and I still hate the leg/seat space!
Reach Bali Ngurah Rai/DenpasarAirport approx. 8AM after the all the custom clearance.. And oops! We saw two person holding the welcome sign with my sister's name. SHOCKED! I can't blame anyone.. I think my sister thought she told the Hotel that she will be checking in late and she did not realise that the Hotel still arrange the transport for us. (My sister booked for it but last minute she thought she cancelled). Oops! communication error. Because we end up booked a private driver a day to explore Ubud.
We felt so sorry for the driver.. he waisted his time waiting for us in the morning at the airport.
After all the confusion, we went ahead for our tour. The driver is super good and friendly! Highly recommend him to you guys! he is a friend of someone my sister met in Bali few years ago.
From Airport to Ubud is about 1hour drive.. we literally slept the whole journey.
First stop: Watercress Cafe in Ubud
Price range is towards middle level. I can't say it's VERY cheap, however it's still affordable compared to Singapore which all cafe food/drink price is SO over priced.
The food mostly caters to Ang Moh (white people) because Australia is so close to Bali and I am surprise they all love the sun so much.
Oh ya I love how every restaurant sells smoothies/milkshakes which I rarely see it selling in restaurant in Singapore.
After our brunch, we went for a hike at Campuhan Ridge Walk(not knowing it's a 2KM hike). weended giving up.. HAHA
Next stop we went to Tegalalang Rice Terrace SHOCKED to see it's time for another hike. Climbing all those steep stairs.. I can no longer feel my legs.. Oh gosh!
We went for the tree swing as while.. 100K IDR per person (approx. S$10). I swear the swing is NOT for faint of heart. It's scarier than it's looks! omg!
Lastly it's time for shopping at Ubud market! where they sells the wooden round bags and many nice beach style / handmade items.. I basically spend half of my money there.. HAHA what a shopaholic.
After the shopping spree, we ended our 1 day tour in Ubud and the driver drove us back to our Hotel in Seminyak which is also 1hour ride.. but due to some road closure .. the ride takes about 1hour 30mins to reach our Hotel. Lucky we still made it for check-in(the reception close at 7PM).
After check-in.. we went to Made's Warung for Indonesia food!.
Went back to our apartment early because sister has to catch her flight back to SG that night. Yes. she is dumping me alone in Bali for a day.
Happen to saw this restaurant called Seminyak Cafe. Food is not bad.
Basically I just spend my first night alone rotting with my Korean drama.. eating instant noodle for supper cause I was hungry.. went to the mini mart near by. Oh ya! they have W drama on netflix Indonesia! I need it in SG pleaseeeeeeee.....
Exploring Bali alone?! omg! I can't imagine that. HAHA Had my lunch at Seminyak Cafe again. Took GOJEK to coco and ginger store in Kuta to buy swimsuit for my niece.
Took GOJEK back to Seminyak Square and took a long stroll down the streets too.. Brought lots of souvenirs for friends and clothes etc for myself. HAHA
I spend literally 5 or 6 hours outside with the super hot sun. OMG!!!
End up i went back to the mini mart for some air-con and instant noodle again and contiune to rot at the apartment with my K drama..
Sister is back from SG! YAY! Took GOJEK to a Cafe Organic in Canggu to meet her for brunch.
After brunch we walk straight up from the cafe and ended up in Love Anchor Bazaar (I think so as it's on the way to Batu Bolong beach)
Sister ended up buying a sandal and bag. Me? i brought the handmade bracelet and rings! HAHAHA
Finally we made it Batu Bolong beach! Time for some vitamin D!
Spend almost half a day at the beach.. as usual sister is busy suntaning ... me? I literally keep myself under the sea water the WHOLE FREAKING TIME. so scared of the sun.
We took GOJEK back to our apartment from Canggu, however there was TRAFFIC JAM!!! OH NO!!! The jam was almost 2 hours! WOAH!
We ended up in a Restaurant near our apartment for dinner
After our brunch, I went to a random salon do do corn braid hairstyle which is actual very famous in Bali... hahaha BUT IT'S SUPER PAIN. I had it on for about 3 weeks after we came back from Bali.. after i untie .. OMG! the amount of hair that came off with it is soooo scary.
Anyways after all the last minute shopping and last minute massage in Bali.. It's time to say goodbye.. and Back go SG..
I hope 2018 has been a awesome year for you, if no I wish that 2019 will be a better year.
Thank god for a great 2018 with the support from my love ones and friends and awesome people I met along the year! I am looking forward for new adventures in 2019!
2018 has been a year with many ups and downs... family drama is always still never ending. Work has been very tiring and draggy since everyone around has achieved their goals or reached a higher level. I am not complaining cause I know I am not always very pro active but I still love my company! I had travel to Seoul,Taiwan and Hongkong in 2018. Hope to travel more places and visit Seoul again in 2019. (Seoul is like my second home, I really love it there and the culture. I hope to find a Oppa and live/work in Seoul)
My lost weight goal failed in 2018 because I can't resist the temptation of food! I promise and will try to work hard on my lost weight goal in 2019! Please support!
I am going to start my own YouTube channel, I was thinking of putting content like Taobao Haul, daily and travel Vlog. Time for me to go learn video editing lesson! I want to be a famous youtuber!

We fly Cathay Pacific from Singapore at approx. 8am (transit at Hongkong) and reached TaoYuan Intl Airport approx 4pm. After all the customs check etc we took the airport transfer all the way to our Airbnb. Night fall at Taipei is super early.. approx. 5:30PM it looks like freaking 7/8PM in Singapore.
We was super tired but still we decided to to walk toRaohe Night Market(饒河夜市) which takes approx. 15minutes walk from our apartment. Oh ya! our apartment is also near Wu Fen Pu (clothing wholesale area) but sadly we didn't manage to visit as Taiwan has too many places to visit!! HAHAHA
Shining's auntie brought us to 欣叶餐厅 Shin Yeh Restaurant to meet her friend for lunch, the food there is awesome! I heard it's famous in Taipei.
After lunch we went our separate ways. Aunties and their daughter went together with her friend. We went to Zoom-In Apartment to buy GUIGUI GEMMA's fashion line. I was disappointed as there is not many items compared to their online store.
We went to a beauty drug store named Little Three (小三美日) and a Taiwanese local designer accessories store named Vacanza Accessory. I highly recommend this store! they have all sorts of latest design and they also cater to all skin types. you guys can check out their website!
We took taxi back to our apartment to unload our goods and changed clothes as the weather is killing hot. After that we went to Sailor Moon pop-up store in 新光三越 台北南西店(Shin Kong Mitsukoshi). It's so CUTE! HAHA! they sell so many things! even make-up! OMG! There is neoprint as while just NT50 each.
Next we went Xi Men Ding to have our dinner and street food and of course claw machine! HAHA Taipei claw machine is awesome! In my life I actually manged to caught a lot of soft toys! and it's only NT10 for each try!

PS; Actually Taipei taxi is not so expensive than I thought. Why do we always have a misconception that taxi in Taipei is very expensive. Correct me if I am wrong.
Field trip to Yehliu Geopark (野柳地質公園), JiuFen Old Street (九份老街) and Shifen Old Streets (十分老街). Super disappointed because it was raining the whole day! 😢
We were suppose to go other places as while for this field trip but due to the rain we only manage to go this 3 places. Oh wells I was glad that we are able to fly the sky lantern as the driver told us that sky lantern are not able to fly during heavy raining days. God bless! Pray that our wishes will come true!
Approx. 7pm the driver send us back to our apartment, after all the unloading and resting.. we decided to go Shilin Night Market. Luckily the rain had stopped at night. My verdict of Shilin Night Market is so much shopping compared to street food, the street food area is located near the temple... if you walk further down.. there is a huge space with many old school game stalls.
It's our last day in Taipei! so sad! We woke quite late that day and decided to go for some Dou Jiang You Tiao at Yong He Dou Jiang永和豆漿.
We are suppose to have our brunch/coffee break at Rilakkuma Cafe but it's fully booked!
We decided not to wait and went Taipei Main Station Underground shopping and we went back to Xi Men Ding for 2nd round of shopping. 😊 and Xi Men Ding again! Oh ya! We went Carrefour as while! The whole building belongs to them! They even sell furniture
We met auntie's friend again for dinner at Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐 Xinyi Restaurant (the first store in the world).
Oh yes! While waiting for our queue at Din Tai Fung, we went to have dessert first at a Taipei famous Shaved-Ice store.
After dinner we say our goodbyes and we went back to our apartment to pack our luggage for our flight to Hong Kong. There is nothing much in Hong Kong to write about HAHA all we do is shop and eat all day
